An American Villa

A window opening onto ancient vistas stretched across an Italian landscape. Somewhere... on the other side of an ocean lives the dream that bedazzled them – their first visit to Italy. “The zona degli affresschi”, or fresco area, insisted this client: “We want a passage-way from the New World back to the Old World.”

     The client’s love of Baroque and mythical story telling conjured up this imaginary scene. Psyche (the soul) and Eros sitting at the bay side listening to a castaway playing his lyre to lure her back to Italy. There are always new stories to be painted!
